Senate Confirms Alex Adams to Lead ACF

On October 7, the Senate confirmed Alex Adams to lead the Administration for Children and Families by a vote of 51-47. Prior to his nomination, Adams served as the director of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. In remarks during a July 22 hearing before the Senate Finance Committee, Adams said he would prioritize several child welfare issues, including recruiting and retaining qualified foster families and speeding time to permanency for children eligible for adoption.
