Voice for Adoption Welcomes Shania K. Pride as New Executive Director
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington, D.C. — [December 8, 2025] — Voice for Adoption (VFA) is proud to announce the appointment of Shania K. Pride as its new Executive Director, effective December 4. Shania brings more than two decades of expertise in strategic grants management, government relations, and training and technical assistance within social services and a deep commitment to advancing VFA’s mission to promote and sustain permanence for children and youth in foster care.
To ensure a seamless transition, Shania will work alongside VFA’s current Executive Director, Patrick Lester, who will be retiring at the end of December. VFA was fortunate to have Patrick as the Executive Director for nearly four years.
Prior to joining VFA, Shania served as Principal Consultant for Care for the Causes, LLC, where she supported federal and local initiatives focused on children, youth, and family programs. Her work included identifying, securing, and managing federal, state, and philanthropic funding opportunities. With a proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver tailored solutions that enhance program management, compliance, sustainability, and impact, Shania is poised to lead VFA into its next chapter of growth and advocacy.
“We are excited to welcome Shania to the agency,” said Lori Ross, Board President. “Her vision and leadership will be instrumental in driving innovation and strengthening our commitment to advancing federal policies that promote and sustain permanence for children and youth in foster care.”
