Alex Adams Confirmed to Lead ACF

On October 7, the Senate confirmed Alex Adams on a party-line 51-47 vote to lead the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) as Assistant Secretary for Family Support. Adams was previously the director of the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare. In that position he established kin-specific licensing standards, paid family leave for foster parents, extended foster care to age 23, and improved recruitment and retention of foster families (bio + additional background).
