Families Rising

Mary Boo is executive director of Families Rising, where she has worked since 1996. In this role, Mary leads a staff dedicated to advocating for permanency for children and youth, supporting adoptive families, and educating parents and professionals on key issues in adoption and foster care. For more than 20 years, Mary has researched and written about post-adoption services, adoption practice and policy issues, and other areas of child welfare. Mary attended graduate school at the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, where she studied nonprofit management and social policy.
