  • January 2017:

The Child Welfare League of America, Donaldson Adoption Institute, North American Council on Adoptable Children, Voice for Adoption, National Center for Adoption and Permanency, Foster Club, and RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association all affirm a Position Statement on Equality for LGBTQ Families and Youth 

  • June 2017:

VFA's executive director, Schylar Baber, co -authored an op-ed concerning Texas' House Bill 3859 "Texas Law Prioritizes Child Welfare Providers Over Children" with April Dinwoodie, chief executive of the Donaldson Adoption Institute (DAI), and Kimberly Paglino, program director of the DAI, and Mary Boo, executive director of the North American Council on Adoptable Children. VFA co-authored a letter to the Governor of New York regarding the rights to adopted persons accessing their original birth certificates with The Donaldson Adoption Institute, Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition, Child Welfare League of America, and North American Council on Adoptable Children
